March 9, 2020 // Found this description in an email from Grow a Pear Nursery & Dog Island Farm: One of our favorite beefsteak tomatoes. Very sweet orange tomato with green shoulders. The green shoulders have actually been found to be indicators of flavor. The breeding out of them in modern varieties is why the commercial tomatoes doen’t taste nearly as good as heirloom tomatoes. The green color is from chlorophyll which helps create more sugar, thus making the tomato sweeter and more flavorful. Kellogg’s Breakfast has a slight citrusy flavor and easily produced fruit over 1lb.
