April 18, 2009 // I love finding things like this in the garden. It looks like this plant can eat you up… but, it’s just a Shasta Daisy flower bud, just about to open.

June 16, 2012 // As I was working in our front yard garden, I saw this butterfly visiting our Shasta Daisies. I don’t recall ever seeing this type of butterfly.
Anyone know what kind it is?
[Update] This was identified as a Gulf Fritillary (Agraulis vanillae).
December 30, 2017 // Doing some garden cleanup in our front yard. I’m cutting back the old Shasta Daisy branches (top half of photo) to let the new growth (bottom half of photo) have space to come up. I’ll came back later and add compost to this area.
